I love living in Waco,Texas. Our town if full of vibrant energy that circulates positive energy through the whole year. We have just about everything you can imagine for families to do such as the easy going Cameron Park Zoo and the Cameron Park alongside the Brazos River. Both are great places to visit that offer a fun, family atmosphere.
My favorite place in Waco has to me the Mayborn Museum. It sits on the bank of the Brazos river just across from Mclane stadium The museum in Just the right size for us to take our 2 toddlers there and plenty safe to let them explore the childrens exibits somewhat independantly. There are realy neat exibits for adults and children of all ages and there is also a riverbank lawn around the back of the Museum that is great for outdoor fun on a pretty day. We take advantage of the membership for $95 and it offers free admission all year along with a coupleof additional tickets additional tickets.the kids love it and so do we.
If I could name one thing I want everyone to know about Waco it would be-There is much more to Waco that Chip and Joanna Gaines and the Magnolia Silos- Please go check their place out but dont be afraid to explore the rich culture and history that Waco has to offer. Baylor University is the oldest University in Texas founded on Feburary 1, 1845. there are beautiful Mansions in the Castle Heights district that breathe a sense of righ history that is thick in the air when driving doun austin avenue. We have a hidded water park that sits a few miles off Interstate 35 that is just right for a hot summer day and when Brazos Nights kicks off get ready for Margaritas, live music, food trucks and great times… You will rarely meet a stranger in Waco, Texas.
I’ve enjoyed watching the commerce develop in Waco over the last few years. It has beenexciting getting to see all the newly formed small business arrive and thrive. The new housing developments and all of the new people moving here just diversifies the culture making it an exciting place tivisit and live.
