This is a message to all the local guides who have been impacted by the influx of immediately ‘not applied’ edits. I want to let you know that your edits are valued and the contributions you make to your local areas are beyond wonderful. You provide to Google an unparallelled service in all the volunteer work that you do. Without you, Google Maps would have never been the thoughtful community that you yourselves have handmade with each and every post you make, every edit you suggest and every single interaction all across the world.
You’re doing an excellent service to the world. Sure, you could have gone off and vested yourself in other pursuits, such as making more money or going on holidays or anything of the sort. Yet you chose to contribute to the ever-growing global community, here on Local Guides Connect and making a visible solid imprint on the every day lives of others, much more than you might perceive.
I can only wish for more. I hope you all continue to grow deep into the community and make a difference to the world. May we continue our journey. Hang in there baby.
