Being a level 6 Local guide in Tanzania, and having shared a number of pictures and made a couple of reviews. I decided to challenge my self with a 100 photos in a day challenge - ie Take 100 photos to be uploaded on google maps challenge.
I woke up at 6 am and started the move at 6:30 am, borrowed a car from a friend (mine needed maintenance) and got my cousin to agree to drive me around so I could be able to take photos as we drive around Dar es Salaam.
It was interesting on how fast I could get photos in the first hour as I only took photos while in the car passing, then decided to get off the car at other locations and asked business owners to take photos of their places for google maps purposes.
With a simple smile and “Hi, I’m Remmy a google maps local guide, and I would like to add photos of your place to the map” they all agreed to it… And then I captured…
Perks of doing this is I was able to take 178 photos (some already uploaded while others waiting to be approved) - Yei nailed the 100 photos a day challenge. And also got free coffee and smoothies.
I would love to do this again with a #500PhotosaDayOnGoogleMaps Hope people could join in.
