I am living in the mid-sized city called Mitaka-city, the western area of Tokyo, about 40 minutes by train from Tokyo Station. Most of the city is a residential area but near here, there is a big park " Inokashira-Koen" so it’s a popular place for dating and families.
Furthermore, it is also popular for tourist from all over the world because Ghibli Museum is located in that park. If you are a big fan of Japanese animation movies, you definitely have watched Ghibli Movies, such as " Castle in the Sky",“My neighbor TOTORO”, “Spirited Away” and so on.
Here Ghibli Museum will provide you special experience feeling like in the world of Ghibli Movies. Thanks to this museum, lots of tourists come to Mitaka-city so I am very happy and I want everyone to know more good place in Mitaka-city and Tokyo and Japan.
Big park Inokashira-Koen is famous for cherry blossoms in Spring. you can row a boat in the pond, surrounded by so many cherry blossoms in full bloom. the 1st week of April is the best season for enjoying cherry blossoms.
