Caption: a local food which I’ve missed for a very long time but I had the opportunity to taste some today and that was awesome.
It’s mashed yam, made from water-yam.
In my local language we call it “wuwi”. It’s very delicious.
Any way, I made it myself and it’s easy to make.
Ingredients: yam, fish, palm oil (red oil), pepper.
Get your yam peeled and chopped in smaller units. Not too small but moderate. Add pepper, onion, salt and fish. You can then set it on fire. When its about to get ready, add some palm oil to it. When it’s finally ready, take it off the fire. That water in it looks some how like soup. You may then fetch the water out of it before mashing it so that it won’t be too soft. After mashing, you can now serve.
Simple and easy.
