Have you ever visited Machu Picchu?

Where is your favorite place in the world?

Machu Pichu is one of my favorite places in the world.

In afternoon, you can take beautiful picture like this facing the Sun.

Can you believe in that this old city is located in more than 2000m above sea level?

I really recommend you visit there. Trust me. You will see the most beautiful view in the world.

Hi @Anonymous_c153ffd7b6b8750d076e7d0e2b353510 ,

Wow this is simply incredible! How long does it take to get up and see this beautiful place? It’s definitely worth seeing and I really hope to go there one day. Is it expensive to visit Peru? Can you tell us more about your travels there? What to keep in mind?

Thanks for sharing these incredible photos with us!

Hi @Anonymous_c153ffd7b6b8750d076e7d0e2b353510 ,

Sometimes there are no words strong enough to express the feeling of happiness of being somewhere. It looks like that what you experienced while being in Peru and especially while visiting Machu Picchu is exactly this same feeling!

One of the things I would love to do in my life and that I would feel deeply grateful about is taking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. It will be an experience of a lifetime and I was planning to undergo it very soon, hopefully this year. I have some questions about visiting there and how can we plan better the trip? Do you know when is the low season, when are usually plane tickets cheaper, is there a limit to the tickets to the entrance of Machu Picchu, do you get them in advance somehow?

I will be much thankful if you could share some more tips about this great journey. Looking forward to it! : )

HI @DanniS ,

Thank you for interesting in my pictures.

It only takes 20 minutes walk from the entrance to the small house on the hill. You can see the most beautiful view of Machu Picchu.

There is small town, Aguas Calientes, which you must visit to go to MachuPicchu. Because there is no car road to Aguas Calientes but only train rail, people need to take quite expensive trains (USD 70~100, one-way). However, tour companies suggest cheaper options like walking along train track instead of taking trains. The Entrance fee is about USD 45.

One thing you need to keep in mind in Machu Pichchu is one-way policy. If you pass some point, you cannot get back. So keep in mind to enjoy spots fully before you pass.

Hi @TsekoV

Thank you for your comment.

Actually, I would like to take the Inca Trail. However, you need to book it at least 5 month in advance, because there is the limit of daily visitors.

I am not sure when is low season but I heard it is better to avoid in August because it is peak season. Yes, there is a limit, 500 people every hour from 6 am to 4 pm. In June, when I visit it, there are not too many people so that I was able to book the ticket a few days before I would visit.

I think the best way to enjoy Machu Picchu is like this:

To take Inka Rail train 8 am which arrive at Aguas Calientes around 1 PM.

and visit and enjoy afternoon Machu Picchu.

and stay one night at Aguas Calientes.

and wake up very early morning and visit Machu Picchu again as soon as it opens.

You will see the difference of Machu Picchu between Morning and Afternoon.

I hope it will help you.

Hi @DanniS

I visited twice. In the first day, we spent 3 hours. And in the second day, we spent 5 hours to visit Inca Bridge and Sun gate.
