Yesterday evening, I had this delicious appetizer in one of my preferred bar in my city Parma and could not miss to take a photo and post on Google maps.
Today “The Bruschetta” is a very simple but very trendy appetizer, that suits everyone and is a perfect for the coming summer season.
It is prepared in different bars or restaurants of south of Italy but takes origin from the vital need of peasants to preserve their bread in times of crisis.
Few mandatory ingredients should you like to prepare by yourself a good Bruschetta:
Bread for a good Bruschetta must be cut in thick slices, and grilled at the perfect temperature; the homemade one is the best because it remains crunchy while absorbing the seasonings well.
Seasoning: rub the warm bread with a clove of garlic and season it with oil and salt it becomes a wonderful meal.
Then finally you can add other ingredients, but my preferred Bruschetta is the simplest : slice of fresh tomato with a few basil leaves, a little extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt
Hi @Mike19020 , thank you for your kind comment. I definitely enjoyed it and like you love to have on it some garlic and very good olives oil. The problem is that I had more than one slice Have a great day, Giuseppe
Thank you @Kavita1 , definitely, I agree, dried tomatoes are delicious on Bruschetta. My mother uses to prepare artichoke in Oil, are delicious on top of a crunchy Bruschetta.
Nice @Giuseppe75 , I love bruschette as well and I agree with you that the best one is just the standard one, tomatoes, extra vergine olive oil and basil!
