In this post i didn’t have really good photos because i didn’t bring my camera along since the security issue is not really save. So I just take some picture with my cellphone. Hope you like it guys.
It all starts from here, Jackson International Airport. It’s a quite long flight from Changi. Almost 12 hours flight from Changi. The first thing i do when i come out from the international terminal was protecting my bag. You all know that Port Moresby is not really save for tourist. All of my worries are gone when i reach domestic terminal. It was 5 in the morning, so there was not a lot of people in the domestic terminal. Couple hours then, it was really crowded. Even i can’t find a chair to sit.
After one hours flight, i arrived at Goroka. It was quite chill when i come out the airplane. Since i went there for working, so there was someone pick me up at the airport. After done with my business, i went to hotel. The hotel was nice (it’s like log house). Next morning, I was ready to go to Henganofi to visit some coffee farm.
During my visit to coffee farm in Henganofi, I slept in this lovely house. Really nice log house with thatched roof. It has fireplace in the middle of the house. But you have to deal with the smoke since there is no chimney.
Local people in Henganofi are really nice. They wanted to cook for me. They cut two chicken for us to eat. What make it special is they cook the chicken inside a bamboo.
After seven days in Goroka, finally i went back to Indonesia. But now, i already get used to the situation there. I already knew a little about people in Papua. I’m not holding tight my backpack anymore. I’d like to go there again someday.

Hello @Yuliananggi ,
Thank you for sharing, I personally never been to Papua, I’ve only heard stories about it and I heard most people said that there was a lot of turbulence on the way there, is it true?
Instead of just sharing these pictures, it will be better if you can add your story about your adventure there in Papua. Because when posting on Connect is best to make your subject as descriptive as possible.
You can review this post 14 helpful tips for using Connect which lays out the best practices for writing a good post on Connect.
In addition to that, I will change your topic label to Travel, where it will get better attention.
Hello @AngieYC ,
Thank you for your advice how to make my post more interesting to read.
About the turbulence on the way to Goroka, yes there was a lot of turbulence. But i didn’t feel a lot of turbulence on the way to Moresby from Singapore. You should try to Papua once in your life time. It’s a beautiful place, but not really save for tourist (especially woman). One more thing, don’t bring your fancy stuff (camera, really expensive cellphone, and also laptop) if you travel alone. It’s better if you are travelling with group of people.
Thank youuuuu…Salam dari Bekasi…hahahahhaha

Hello @Yuliananggi .
Thank you for the additional information, this is definitely very helpful but as I see I think you have a great travel experience there.
Is there a place in Papua that you highly recommend for other Local Guides to visit?
@AngieYC well, mostly I travel for working. For tummy pleasure and beautiful place, I highly recomend West Sumatra. Especially Bukittinggi. Every part of Sumatra have unique places.
I’ll try to look up my laptop for picture i’ve visited before.
