Have Walls, Will Travel

I, like many others, have a serious case of wanderlust. I love exploring the world around me and seeking out colorful places and spaces. More recently, I’ve come to realize a large part of my adventures is dependent on reviews. Searching things like; where to stay, where to eat, best transportation in and around the area, etc, are all part of the research I do beforehand. Knowing that reviews are so integral, I’ve made a conscious effort to start documenting my travels wherever I go. From the best foods and late-night hotspots to my favorite photo-worthy walls, my Local Guides account shows my footprints.

When I started traveling more consistently, my followers began to notice a theme. Wherever I went, I always found the best photo walls. (This earned me the self-designated title of “Most Likely to Take Photos in Front of a Wall.” ?)

After discovering this passion, I couldn’t wait to share these places (and photos) with the rest of the world!

In my quest to find the best photo walls, I found that many of the previous visitors before me weren’t sharing the actual locations. They would instead share city tags or general area, which made it almost impossible to find some of these spots.

I didn’t like the idea of certain “influencers” keeping this secret for themselves. I wanted to know where these locations were and I wanted to share that knowledge with anyone else who was struggling to find those locations.

So, I started blogging, Instagramming and of course, Google sharing all my best finds. Instead of keeping these treasures all to myself, I willingly shared the locations through Google Maps.

I’m extremely passionate about travel and sharing my experiences. Local Guides and Google Maps have given me the tools to continue finding new walls both locally and abroad!
