I want to notify Google of incidences of being misled by the street Apps. Sometimes, locations are different from direction being offered. It happened to me last year October in Lagos and in Abuja. It happened last week also in Abuja. It may be as a result of poor mapping system but Google need to find a way to address it as I may not be the only one with that experience in Nigeria.
It will help commuters reach their destinations on time, reduce stress, the incidence of wandering and making drivers highly irritable. It will also help to reduce the quantity of fuel used for the journey while payment may not be increased after the initial charge has been computed into the system. It will help to ensure that commuters are satisfied, encourage more patronage and keep drivers productive and happy.
It will solve the problem of spending time on the street rather than at the destination getting engaged for productive work. It will help the community minimise time spent searching for locations on the street.
Hi Tive,
Yes, I also encounter that problem when I’m traveling. But there is already a way you can tell Google about maps errors. Go to “Send Feedback,” in either Google Maps App or in a browser. You’ll then see box like the screenshot to the right. Choose the category of what you would like to correct. You’ll then be given an opportunity to click on an exact place on the map. I usually like to already have the map open to the place in question, because then that will be displayed when it’s time to choose a place on the map. Be sure to enter a note that describes what is wrong and what it should be. Then click SUBMIT.After someone reviews your suggestion it will be acted upon.
Hello @Tive ,
Missing or inadequate information can sometimes lead to wrong routes in Google Maps.
By following the guide provided by @Darkfire , you can report wrong or missing information and help make Google Maps even better in your area.
Since your post already has a solution, I will move it to How-tos, where other Local Guides may benefit from the answer given
