Every year on 27 September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. It was started by United Nations World Tourism Organization and it aims to raise awareness on tourism that how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values globally.
Here, I would like to showcase famous tourist destinations of my country India.
@Asixtyplus … The stone which is referred to as Krishna’s Butter Ball is basically a 250 ton rock boulder resting on a slippery surface. It is 20 feet high and 5 meter wide standing on less than 4 feet base. It has not moved from its position and remained unaffected by natural disasters like Tsunami, Earthquake, Cyclone, etc. It is actually giving competition to the gravity.
It has been here since thousand years ago. Some accounts say it is 1200 years old.
Many attempts were made to move this boulder, but everything failed. In fact during British rule, it was ordered to move with the help of seven elephants, but not even a single inch was moved.
This site still confuses many people that is it science or some supernatural powers.
I’ll write a separate post about it, giving more interesting information and pictures of it. Keep Reading
