Happy World Photography Day

19th August in each calendar year is observed as “World Photography Day”.

For me, the word “Photography” itself releases dopamine and I could not resist to talk about photography and my experience with this process. I do take photographs as a hobby and feel happy to share the same with others. The camera shutter sound is so fascinating, and I feel super excited whenever I hear it around. The opening of the camera shutter to take photographs resembles human’s capability and capacity of accepting/creating innovative ideas, new possibilities, and new beginnings. Everyone views each photo from a unique perspective, and it can be different for the photographer who has clicked it. At times the viewer connects the photograph with an experience which is accumulated in the form of memory. The same photograph may give different feelings to different eyes, and it can be happiness and sorrow at the same time. The below image was taken just before the Sunset and is a perfect example of such mix of feelings with shadow/black as a major part, but the bright yellow color shades make it exciting too. Since this is an inserted image, photo resolution is compromised during the process.

Coming back to photography, the integration of high-end cameras into mobile phones has made it extremely easy to click pictures anywhere, anytime. Numerous photo editing apps and software are available to add tinge of excitement in the photos. With all this support and integration of AI in photography, the basic technique of taking a good, memorable photo remains an art. Will talk about photography and its basics in some other post.

The very purpose of taking a photo is to create a physical memory of some moment in our life which can be seen again and again to cherish or share with loved ones/self. Now a days along with mobile phones, televisions are also becoming smart and user friendly. I think, out of our super busy life, we should take time to go through the photos, which we have stored physically or digitally on the devices. The best way is to plan and sit with our family or friends to look at those photos together and I am sure this will be one of the best times invested by you in a while for your near and dear ones. It is super exciting to show your kids their childhood photos and photos of our younger/happy version.

Only a good memorable photograph will guarantee you a new happy memory to cherish.

Yes…you can relive the moments through photographs…!
