I was surprised & happy to see a notification which mentioned a good old friend
First, I thought someone else must have grabbed the same name.
However, when I checked the profile, it’s the same old one, & that still doesn’t show reinstatement of LG status.
It appears that even such profiles can also click “Likes” on Connect.
Thank you for flagging this. We will check and take the necessary actions.
Please edit your post like @MortenCopenhagen already mentioned. As a reminder, we do not encourage sharing private information on Connect in order to protect yours and other users’ privacy and safety.
I’m sorry, @C_T , but your opening post is still announcing to the world the username of the person who got suspended. That is in my opinion what you need to be blurred and the username in the text should be deleted.
I know both of you are hiding your identities but announcing usernames that got suspended is a big no-no in my opinion.
I have minimised the mention. However, can’t skip the reference at least at one place. Else it would be impossible for the person investigating the bug to verify the authenticity of my finding.
I had received at least five to six such false notifications in the last three months. However, couldn’t pinpoint those were erroneous. Now the current one is giving the opportunity to highlight that without any ambiguity.
The reason for adopting the contrasting style is, I wish a remedy to the root cause, not just a solution tick on my post.
Further, private messaging may not be acknowledged, and anyway, I have stopped using that.
I understand your point, but just as other local guides are discouraged to share any personal info in public when asking the team to investigate somebody you can request to open the possibility to reach the team via email and only use email to identify individuals.
Also, a Google moderator has already indicated that they will investigate. So there I see no reason for you to continue to break the privacy of another local guide.
I encourage you to communicate the other examples you have observed to the team via email so they can investigate and understand the matter at hand even better.
