Yes sadly this 3rd wave of COVID is now raging in many countries and Iām sorry to hear that it is like this in your country as well. It is making it very difficult to travel. I had plans to travel in late 2020 and then moved this to late 2021 but this didnāt happen and now my family have visited from the US and I worry about them being able to return home because many international flights have just been cancelled because apparently many airline workers have been hit by this new virus strain. But I have to tell you it is so nice to see them after so long and so yes I can certainly understand that you will be excited waiting to see your brother and his girlfriend.
Your planned trip to San MartĆn de Los Andes , Bariloche and Villa la Angostura sounds really exciting and we all look forward to seeing your photos. I hope one day to finish my journey through South America. So far I have only visited the the Pacific side having been to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile but to Chile only as a stopover to Easter Island which is a territory of Chile. One day!!

Happy New Year everyone! Looking back on 2021, I want to thank @AdamGT for continuing to cultivate and shepherding this community within the community. I also want to thank everyone in this leaderboard community for the support, advice, and kindness youāve all shown. I truly feel like weāre friends, though weāve never met in person. This community has kept me going and given me much needed feedback that yes, I am doing making progress and doing some bit of good in the world. I canāt thank you enough for that. Iām looking forward to moving onwards and upwards in 2022!

Yes indeed, while we have never met in the person, we are definitely all friends, sharing, helping and learning how to become better and contribute better as Local Guides and I see the leaderboards as a tool facilitating this.
