What are Local Guides? Well, the attendees of Connect Live 2019 attempt to answer this with a fun and festive video that highlights some of the stuff that we do and are passionate about whilst wishing you an amazing new year!! What can I say, these folks are multi-talented!!
Thanks to 49 Local Guides from 28 countries who took time off to send us multiple videos, the super awesome @SP31 snipped, cut and cobbled together the amazing video! It was challenging and time consuming work so massive kudos to Steve for putting up with us all!
I’m not going to tag everyone in this video (note: please don’t tag too many people in your comments in case it gets flagged up as spam… and it’s also poor practise) but I do want to thank the brilliant @TraciC , @brittym and the rest of the Local Guides team for making the Connect Live 2019 event a success. It brought 200 Local Guides together and loads of wonderful friendships and memories were made. And obviously, this video could not have been made without that!
And special thanks to @Christina-NYC and the photography team for the use of two of their group shots.
Lastly, I hope that 2019 has been a great year for all of you and I hope that in the coming days, folks will reflect on it, be grateful for the positive events that took place, learn from the bad ones and set new goals for 2020!
Whatever you end up doing, know that this community exists and we are here for each other! We are global citizens, citizens of one planet that we all call home, so celebrate our diversity, our vibrant and colourful cultures, embrace each other like brothers and sisters and revel in our common passion that is the Local Guides program!

- Think of ONE Local Guides related goal that you want to achieve in 2020 and let us know what it is! For example, maybe you want to hit the next level, get a Master badge in photography or host your very first meet-up!
- Post ONE picture of your community and let us know what’s amazing about them!
