The mooncake looks amazing @user_not_found ! Did you make it by yourself?

In my country we don’t have a similar Mid-Autumn fest. What do you usually do on that day? It’s very interesting to know.

Hello @KatyaL

I haven’t done it, even if me and Chinese friends have seen various videos on Douyin (Chinese TikTok) on how to do it, so in theory we know how it is made, even if have never practiced. Have not even bought them in local Chinese pastry shops of my city, but have bought them directly in China, as during my trip to China, they were already available in pastry shops, so wanted to try mooncakes directly from China.

Talking about things to do during the festival, there are several, like watching the moon, making lanterns, worshipping the moon and obviously, eating mooncakes. At the end just eating mooncake is the most quick and common way to celebrate this beautiful festival.

There’s not such festival in Italy too. It is a typical Chinese festival, so it is celebrated internally inside the Chinese community, also in Milan obviously. Italian people without strong ties to the Chinese community and culture maybe are not even aware of this festival.

Thank you so much for the additional information about the moon festival. For me it was a pleasure to learn how it’s celebrated and where it is well known. Chinese traditions are very interesting as well as your story!

Are there any interesting festivals happening in Italy soon?

@KatyaL Right now there are no Italian festivals coming, a part the religious ones regarding the before Christmas, Christmas and after Christmas festivals, from November to January.

Hi @user_not_found ,

Thank you for your reply!

In my country (Bulgaria) we will have the National independence day celebrations on the 22nd of September and then we have as well the Christmas celebrations. Тoday is actually the name day fo many people hre who are named after the 3 Saints (St. Hope, Love and Trust) who are daughters of St. Sophia and we celebrate the national holiday of the capital city Sofia because of this
