Happy Ducks!

Cows, goats, Hens, and ducks are the most common and important domestic animals/birds in our village Chpari. They play an important role to meet the needs of meat as well as financial support to the farmers. Every house in our village has at least one or two of these kind animals though not huge in numbers. For example, one farmer may have 2 or 3 cows, 2 goats, 5 to 8 hens or ducks or both. Farmers need not to spend huge money on goats, hens or ducks foods. They eat whatever they get in the open space of the house. Ducks spend most the time in the nearby pond or river and eat the foods they find there. Farmers give them foods in the morning and in the evening. Hens get less than the ducks as they roam nearby the kitchen house and get something to eat. Goats eat grass in the open field and beside the village road. For cows, farmers buy some foods, nowadays, and mix them with grass and dried straw. For this reason, farmers sell milk to other villagers and buy foods for the cows with that money. Nowadays large scale poultry and dairy farms are increasing in Bangladesh and supplying us meat, milk, and eggs as per our demand.

I took these photos in the first week of August 2019. Hope you will like them. Please share photos of some domestic animals/birds in your area/country. Thanks.

Hello @MukulR ,

Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos with us.

I love ducks and I find them very amusing, especially the way they walk. I remember back in the days, when I was living in Morocco, we used to have ducks and all sorts of other animals, such as chicken, turkeys, and rabbits.

@BorrisS Great to know that you have experience of having ducks and other animals during your staying at Morocco. They are really very beautiful and when they are free to move in open nature.
