Hello all LGs, I hope you stay safe and enjoy life out there!
Today marks Me being on Connect for 1 wonderful year. I have never thought I could be strolling around Connect for up to 1 year. The first participation in Connect was due to the invitation it join the Connect Live event because I was Level 6 and the requirements was that you have to post one article in there. Then you get badges for achievements. From the first post then another one, and the next one I realized that Connect is more than just that, especially when people read it, give LIKES and comments and many ongoing discussions among fellow LGs. Thanks to Covid-19, I don’t go to field often at work meaning I have got sometime to write articles to share on Connect. Thanks to all Kudos, comments, instructions, and inspiration from fellow local guides. I cannot do it without you.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank few fellow guides who have been here for me all the time, without you, Connect seems quiet. I want to celebrate my 1st year on Connect celebration with you all! Let me give a toast to few wonderful LGs:
- @MukulR the true supporter! No matter what articles I posted, you show strong support by giving comments and kudos. We have shared so much knowledge between our two countries. You are like a brother I would want to meet in person!
- @helga19 my sister - you seldom miss my posts! You spend so much time writing long comments and inspirational messages that I love to read all the time! I have to tell you I always look forward to read your message after each of my post
I even want to spend some holiday with you somewhere together and telling each other about everything! - @Ant_Bad_Yogi I have never seen you before @Ewaade_3A meet up last week. But I feel like you are a good sister whom share many common interests with me. We would go somewhere together after the pandemic! Ewaade you are a fun person to talk to You are so popular and you inspired me a lot!
- @TusharSuradkar you have been there and support me with all technical aspect, thanks for all the support!
- @AdamGT the first LG who has supported me and made me feel like Connect is home. Thanks for all the support and inspirational comments!
- Other LGs and Connect Moderators and Google Moderators ( I cannot tag you all in this post) thank you very much for treating me like a family. Connect is like a family far away from home and I feel so warmth being in here. I found the CM who loves taking selfie and food and drink, I found seniors who are expert in plants and flowers and photography. I found many others who love traveling just like I do. Everyone plays important role in this big family and keeps inspiring me one way or another.
I would like to thank YOU ALL for being nice, treating me so well and keep giving me inspiration to continue contributing.
Some notes about achievement in numbers:
- I have moved from LG level 6 to Level 8.
- I have got 3 Masters in Google Map: Master Reviewer, Master Photographer and Master Trailblazer. I have over 1.2M views on my photos! In real life, I got a Master degree of Tourism Management. In the next couple years, I wish to get a master of creative contents
or content writing from Google, jkd! - I added missing places and businesses into the map (I love this part of Google Map most when I am the first to add information and photos)
- I have written about 160 articles, mostly about travel, local stories and food & drink. Articles I love most are edible plants series, camping series, floating village series, beaches and island series and ecotourism sites series. I learnt a lot while composing those articles to share. Thanks for reading them and giving kudos and nice comments I have got 6 articles being featured on Friday Favorites - I have to admit that this is also my another favorite part on Connect.
Happy 1st year being born in Connect! I will be around for as long as Connect allows me!
