Hanuman ji had done Bhima’s pride here, this pole was made with the attack of mace. During the Mahabharata period in Sariska, during the time of unknown exile, Bhima broke the road from mace. This is the place where Bhima broke his way into the mountain with an attack of mace during an unknown habitation. This place was called Pandupol.
In the Mahabharata period, there is also the context of Bhima not being able to lift the tail of an old monkey. People believe that this temple and statue are associated with the same incident. It is said that Bhima was proud of his force. Seeing this, Hanuman ji lay down as an old monkey. When his tail came on the way, Bhima could not remove him from the path. Later Hanuman ji showed him his true form.
