Hanging Bridge, Rangamati

Last couple of weeks ago I have travelled to eastern and hilli district Rangamati of Bangladesh. I have visited a few tourist places in Rangamati, today I will share my travel experience at Hanging Bridge, in Rangamati with local guides in the connect forum.

The Hanging Bridge is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Rangamati district, the bridge is 335ft long and built on the Kaptai Lake. This tourist attraction place is managed by the Bangladesh Parjantan Corporation. A lot of tourists visited this place every day. It is situated near by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation complex area and 6Km away from the Rangamati town. The hilli district Rangamati is full on natural beauty and the hanging Bridge is one of them.

Anyone can go very easily to this place by road; CNG is available all most everywhere in the town, from the town CNG will take around 20mins and the cost 100 to 150BDT.

A lot of boats available near the bridge, so anyone hire a boat and can enjoy boating on the Kaptai Lake for a day or on demand. A few small islands nearby so anyone can go there and can enjoy natural beauty of the islands and the kaptai lake.

A few local shops here on the both sides of the hanging bridge, thery are mostly women owned shops. They are selling local products like handiarafts, traditional clothes, dried fruits and foods.

There are few restaurants here so foodies can enjoy different types of delicious foods, coffee, Tea, Ice cream. The fruit lovers can enjoy varieties of local fruits like Green Coconut, Papaya, Pineapple, Banana, Sweet Tamarindus and many more.

Transport: you can go by road or Boat from the Rangamati town to reach the park.

Opening Time: The Hanging Bridge is open from morning to till sunset; morning is quiet so it’s better to visit in the morning time.

Ticket: The entry frees is 20BDT for Adult and Kids is free.
