寒單爺，有多種由來

其中一個說法是他是財神爺，但由於怕冷，所以必須燃放鞭炮讓周遭變暖來驅寒

而現今變成一種迎財神的傳統

另一個說法則是他原本為地方惡霸，某天悔改以後，任由鄉民打罵

之後被打死了，鄉民們覺得他願意悔改還這樣對他很過意不去，於是每年找人扮演肉身寒單來紀念這件事情

目前是台灣,台東縣獨有的民俗活動，每年元宵節時才能看到

@RadieN 當然其他地方會覺得很有趣而學習、模仿這活動

不過正統的目前只有台東有

先前也有和中國的邯鄲市有過交流，說不定日後也能在其他地方看到

至今你們台東人有多長時間舉辦這個活動？是誰發明了它？有什麼信念？

因為炮炸寒單爺是台灣、台東縣獨有的活動，所以中國大陸目前是找不到的

中國大陸也是到去年邯鄲市開始有交流

但政治、法律等等背景的因素，無法很常看到，甚至能不能舉辦都還不曉得

這項活動起源於何時已經不曉得了，不過台東縣是在大約六七十年前又開始舉辦的

每年都有不少遊客到台灣遊玩時會特地來參與

台灣的宗教活動起源都差不多，因為日據時期限制過於嚴格，加上國民黨流亡台灣後，開始戒嚴

很多的事情是不能做的，於是將寄托放在宗教上，所以有了許多關於宗教方面的活動
