HAMPI - This place is a group of beautiful monuments, now ruins - located in Karnataka along the banks of River Tungabhadra. Hampi is considered as a World Heritage Site and was the capital city of the Vijayanagara Empire of 14th Century.
This place is a historical delight for travelers, surrounded with nearly 500 ancient monuments. As per the records this place was one of the richest places where, jewels and diamonds were sold on the streets of this place.The are many monuments and temples here to visit which are carved beautifully.
