Half a day with Kyrgyz nomads

We reached at the Kyrgyz nomads’ yurt(tent) pegged near Song-kul lake(the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan and the largest fresh water body in the country) at midday. It was bitter cold even in summer. We spent time just chilling out and watching the nomads going about their everyday life. Life seemed harsh but they seemed to be enjoying whatever they were doing. One lady said that she had been here for around two decades. After refreshing ourselves from a 5 hour horse ride they served us local homemade lunch with Kyrgyz hospitality which we enjoyed every moment of it. After that we went on to see the great lake the like of which I have never witnessed before in my entire life. It was so huge that it almost looked like a sea. After capturing some pictures we got back to the yurt and had some traditional tea and as soon as night fell everyone was in their bed and the temperature dropped almost dramatically leaving us shivering even in our double layered blankets weighing a ton. Nevertheless it was a memorable experience that I still hold dear to my heart.
