Haldi Ghati A Battle Field

When Raja Man Singh, who was also the loyal commander of Emperor Akbar, presented Akbar’s proposal in the form of a treaty to Maharana Pratap’s son Prince Amar Singh and Dodia Bhim, this meeting was arranged on the banks of Udai Sagar Lake, they made sarcastic remarks at Raja Man Singh. Maharana Pratap also refused to accept the supremacy of the Mughals. And this became the reason for the Battle of Haldighati in which Maharana Pratap had to face defeat and also lost many of his loyal companions.

The Rajputs of Rajasthan are known for their bravery. The bravery of the Rajputs cannot be understood without the description of the Battle of Haldighati. This battle was fought between Raja Mansingh and Maharana Pratap in June 1576 AD, which is a golden history and even today it is described in the glory saga of Maharana Pratap.

Haldighati is a pass situated on the Aravali mountain which connects two villages. This war was fought in this valley. The color of the land of this valley is like turmeric. It is located about 44 km from Udaipur.

In The Battle of Haldighati was fought on 18th June 1576 AD. Rana Pratap Was Riding on Chetak Horse Where As Maan Singh Was on Elephent. Maharana Pratap Attacked On Raja Maan Singh By His Spear. In This Attack Elephent Handler means Mahout Was Killed by Pratap. But Maan Singh Escaped And Saved Himself Behind The Elephent Hump. In This Attack Chetak (Horse of Rana Pratap) Badly Injured.

Chetak Was Disguised As An Elephent Among Mughal Army By Putting An Artificial Trunk On His Face To Confuse Elephants And To Make Think That It Is A Baby Elephent.

Haldighati is a famous tourist spot. Apart from this battle field, there is a museum in which the war is shown through various tableaus and there is a memorial at the Khooni Nala crossing which Chetak lost his life.
