Siri Harmandir Sahib is the most religious place of Sikhism.It is also called Darbar Sahib and Golden Temple.This is the located in the city of Amritsar in the Indian State of Punjab.The entire city is situated around Harmandir Sahib.Thousands of devotees and tourist visit the this place.Amritsar is actually named after that lake. Whose name is Amrit Sarover.
Beginning
The foundation stone of this temple was laid 1588.This temple craft is a unique example of beauty. Its carving and external beauty is made of seeing.
Inside view
The entire gurudwara is made of white marble and its walls are carved with golden leaves. Gurbani continues throughout the day in Harmandir Sahib.People of any religion can come to this palace without any discrimination.There are four doors of the temple which open in all four directions east, west,north,south.This means that anyone from all four directions can visit this temple.Before going inside Harmandir Sahib, you have to wash your feet with water and cover your head.The view of the lake and the Gurudwara sahib looks very beautiful and captivates the mind and gives a lot of happiness from inside.
Langar Hall (big free kitchen)
There is a complete arrangement for the devotees who come to the gurudwara to eat the food.The temple serves the food service there.According to an estimate around 70 thousand people eat food everyday.This is world`s biggest free kitchen.
All the devotees who come on this place have a wonderful arrangement for there night stay.Building are built around this place and there are many rooms in which devotees and visitors live.
Airway
Amritsar has an international airport.Where daily national and international flights came.From the airport you can reach temple in taxi.
Rail and Road
Amritsar is located about 500 km from New Delhi. Everyday a lot of train and buses from NEW Delhi come towards Amritsar.Shane-Punjab and Shatabdi train runs daily from New Delhi to Amritsar.

Truly harmindersahib is place where all big and small trated in same pangat the lunger run for 24hour every morning guruwani n kritan will have tranqlising effect on your soul
I couldn’t visit so many years. We say in Punjabi unless there is Hukkam( Call from God) u cannot go. Two years ago my nephew got married while returning back we missed our flight from Amritsar. So visited same day & next day its beautiful .
Then again after two month later my niece marriage was fixed at Ludhiana. My kids also wanted to take Darshan so I directly went to Amritsar stay there for 5 days our bad luck in August it was raining there. But couldn’t got out so much there, But as got room in NIR bldg which just 2 minutes walking could visit early morning see ,when they take Paliki sahib inside that procession one should watch morning 3.30-4oclock.
We were blessed got Darshan. My son took up upto the terrace of Harminder sahib.

Guru Ram Das ji started the work of Guru Tal and was completed, at its center Shri Harminder Sahib is located. 5th Guru Baba Arjan Jee asked to Sai Mian Mir a Sufi Saint to lay the foundation. After completion a copy of Adi Granth was also placed by Guru Arjan Dev ji. It’s one of the holiest Gurudwara and Sikh pilgrimage. It has faced many attacks and later by Maharaja Ranjit Singh it was renovated and covered with Gold foils so got name Swanmandir. Public kitchen is the Beauty as Baba Nanak was given 20 Rupees by his father to do some business and he opted this kind business with Bhai Mardana was a Muslim but patron of Baba ji.
