Gurdwara Kaulsar Sahib Ji Amritsar.

Caption Sacred Pond Kaulsar and Gurdwara Kaulsar Sahib Ji Amritsar Punjab India.

The journey to Amritsar was a memorable journey. The sanctity of this city and the spirit that I have seen among the devotees and followers, towards following the holy teachings and traditions established by the Sikh Gurus is unforgettable. Gurdwara Mata Kaulan or Kaulsar Sahib Ji is such a sacred place of worship, where it can be understood that the Sikh Gurus were purely committed to their words, which they gave to the asylum seekers and were always dedicated to protect the exploited people.

Gurdwara Kaulsar Sahib Ji is dedicated to a great devotee, a disciple of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, service and meditation was her mission was Bibi Kolan.
Mata Kolan was a woman who was raised in the house of a Qazi. She was highly influenced and inspired by the teachings of Sikh Gurus and Sufi saints. She came to Amritsar with Mia Mir or requested the sixth Guru Baba Hargobind Sahib to be evacuated from prisoner-like life of Qazi and Baba Hargobind Sahib sheltered her with all due respect. She was a spiritual and fearless lady. Her piousness was recognised by the Sixth Guru and Mian Mir who remain her teacher at the Qazi Rustam. She was dedicated to the holy teachings of Sikh Gurus and she was a magical reciter of Gurubani. During her last time Baba Hargobind Sahib Ji consoled her and happily she could leave the world.
Kaulsar was built on the instructions of Baba Hargobind Sahib Ji in 1624 AD to 1627 AD under the supervision of Baba Budha Ji, who was the first Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib. She was a great desciple of Baba on whose order she was given a separate quarter and to mark her piousness and spirituality Kaulsar was built. Further Baba released instructions for the devotees and followers to have first dip in the Kaulsar before Amrit Sarovar. She died in Kartarpur Sahib in 1630 AD and her Samadhi is located close to the Kaulsar. This Sacred Gurdwara Kaulsar Sahib Ji is dedicated to Mata Kolan or Bibi Kolan Ji.
Devotees are taking holy dip in this tank visiting the Gurdwara and Samadhi.

It’s a major attraction among the devotees and tourists irrespective of caste and creed.

Visiting historical, religious or spiritual sites does have its own fun. Especially if you have time to discuss with religious leaders like you do. Sometimes it makes our mind open and realize the truth in the past. Thank you again for sharing this story. I’m waiting for your other story, of course on a different site. Hopefully always healthy. @rizbab28 God bless you so much.
