Dear Foodies let’s gain some more knowledge about Gujju food,
“Surat nu Jaman ne Kashi nu maran “
a famous saying in Gujarati it means dining in Surat and dying in Kashi is the way to heaven.
Now you all can understand importance of Gujarati food. We Gujarati’s have perfected the art of vegetarian cooking.
Lets start from the basic
This is the photo of basic ingredients of our food masala
Without this you will not get Gujarati food taste.
1)Morning break fast
Our Fafda jalebi is very famous as morning breakfast it is serve with chatni(curry) and chilly it is consider as half meal
Mango is national fruit of india and gujarat produce 13 Lakh tons of mangoes and it contribute 7% of total lot of mango in the world so we used to eat fresh mango juice with puri or riti in our lunch ,also we sprinkle suth (ginger powder ) for good digestion.
Our lunch roti ,shak(vegetable) ,dal(curry) bhat(rice)with papad ,salad and sweet,spicy pickle
Farsan (just like to snacks)
tasty Ladoos made by me (wheat flour ,Jaggery ,pure home made butter and dry fruit)
A delicious snack from Kutch, Gujarat that I have tasted so many times (Kutchhi double roti) the other name is Dabeli
stuffing is mashed potatoes with spices,onion,sev, pomegranate and coriander
In Saurashtra normally people eat bajri roti and bharta (smashed brinjal )
last but not the least after meal we eat pan which helps us in digestion our food .
