Gujarati Foodies #worldchallenge (6th March 21)

Dear Foodies let’s gain some more knowledge about Gujju food,

“Surat nu Jaman ne Kashi nu maran:bento: :eggplant: a famous saying in Gujarati it means dining in Surat and dying in Kashi is the way to heaven.

Now you all can understand importance of Gujarati food. We Gujarati’s have perfected the art of vegetarian cooking.

Lets start from the basic

This is the photo of basic ingredients of our food masala

Without this you will not get Gujarati food taste.

1)Morning break fast

Our Fafda jalebi is very famous as morning breakfast it is serve with chatni(curry) and chilly it is consider as half meal

Mango is national fruit of india and gujarat produce 13 Lakh tons of mangoes and it contribute 7% of total lot of mango in the world so we used to eat fresh mango juice with puri or riti in our lunch ,also we sprinkle suth (ginger powder ) for good digestion.

Our lunch roti ,shak(vegetable) ,dal(curry) bhat(rice)with papad ,salad and sweet, spicy pickle

Farsan (just like to snacks)

tasty Ladoos made by me (wheat flour ,Jaggery ,pure home made butter and dry fruit)

A delicious snack from Kutch, Gujarat that I have tasted so many times (Kutchhi double roti) the other name is Dabeli

stuffing is mashed potatoes with spices, onion, sev, pomegranate and coriander

In Saurashtra normally people eat bajri roti and bharta (smashed brinjal )

last but not the least after meal we eat pan which helps us in digestion our food .

I am thankful to my fellow local guide team from Gujarat for support and sharing few lovely photos of our gujarati food

There is a lot of variety in food and drink in our Gujarat. Gujaratis are very fond of food and drink. It is said that Gujaratis do not start their day if they do not get fafda and jalebi for breakfast. That is why I say that once you come here, you will become a fan of Gujarati food. @RosyKohli , @Shrut19 .

Thanks @Tejal for sharing this post for our world challenge.
