I’m Victor Lutov from Minsk, Belarus.
For thirty years I’ve been climbing to many mountainous regions around the world. In May 2006 I climbed Everest. I always use Google Maps when planning my expeditions.
During this period I came to the conclusion that there are no photos of hard-to-reach areas such as the Pamirs, the Himalayas, Karokorum, the Caucasus. These photos are very important for people who are making their future route plans. So I started posting my photos to Google Maps 2 years ago. Today in Google Maps there are 130 photos made and uploaded by myself with about one million views. These photos are very important for people, as they are keen to see pictures of such distant areas. It helps them to learn more about this world and plan their trips as well. It unites people.
