This archaeological zone was built since before the Christian era, and is very peculiar for its circular pyramids! Which can be associated with the roundness of the sun, the concentric waves of water or an inverted cone of a twister. The extensive ceremonial center includes several round and stepped structures. One of them has the remains of a pole like those used by the Papantla flyers, hence the allusion that the men flew like birds. There are also vestiges of two ulama courts (ball game). It symbolizes the primitive culture of the West of Mexico that developed in an exuberant valley at the foot of the sacred mountain, the Tequila Volcano, where the mythical obsidian stones abounded, and near the Valencia Lagoon. This ancestral legacy of humanity (by UNESCO), nestled in a beautiful agave landscape, is a site of interest in the cultural route of Jalisco, #MexicoPrehispanic. I invite you to see the iconic circular pyramid cut out against a mountain and a splendid blue sky: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnLcg6Bvojh/?igshid=Yzg5MTU1MDY=
