As a full time RVer I found myself landlocked this winter. Usually we spend six month of the year in Florida. However, this year my wife and I both had medical issues that had to be looked after before making any travel plans.
As someone who like to be busy, I looked for some local groups for seniors and was amazed to find absolutely none. Not being one to accept defeat so easy, I decided why not start a group. There has to be other seniors who like a reason to get out of the house on a regular basis. Even if it’s just to meet for coffee and chat, maybe take a caravan drive to another city or town near Hamilton for a day trip.
I have a number of interests. I enjoy gourmet cooking, photography and I’m a avid flight simulator pilot with a few thousand hours of flight time.
If there are other out there that would like to just meetup for a coffee and get a group growing, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
@user_not_found Hello Mike. I totally understand your frustration in finding local guides… especially for those who travel full time and never stay in the same location for more than a month. I’m trying to solve this problem by working with others on building a US Local Guides community. I try to highlight daily US Connect posts on the Local Guides USA Facebook group. Maybe you can do the same for Canada? There are a number of Local Guide groups on FB and you may be able to find some local guides in your area there as well?
