Victory in the Great Patriotic war is the victory of every soldier, courage and bravery of every person, fearlessness before the enemy, torture and death. Many lives were lost in the war. More than 26 million people died in that war. And today, on the 75th anniversary of the victory, we keep the memory of our heroes.

The war lasted 4 years-1941-1945.The enemy burned villages, bombed cities, and killed people.

For us, war is history. Every year we congratulate and honor the war veterans who survived those harsh years. On the chest of each a lot of orders and medals for their courage, bravery, heroism.

Today I want to tell you about the musical project “And in memory of that great Victory”, which was created with the participation of 5 countries-Russia, Germany, Latvia, France, Austria for the 75th anniversary of the Victory.

A creative international team came together to create this project to pay tribute to the Veterans of the Great Patriotic war.

During the war ,poets and composers have written a lot of good songs that loved to listen and sing the soldiers . During the difficult years of the war, songs were especially needed by the people. They helped to walk the roads of war through suffering and death, helped to survive, raised the morale of soldiers.

Songs of the war years struck with their beauty, lyricism, and sincerity.The song strengthened the unity of soldiers, friendship, gave strength of spirit, gave confidence in victory.Field concerts at the front helped to forget about the sorrows and difficulties of the war, the song inspired feats, gave strength.

Another song I want to tell you about is the song "Katyusha"A song by Matvey Blanter and poems by Mikhail Isakovsky. Simple words of the song helped soldiers in battle, warmed them with the warmth of a loving heart. The girl Katyusha became a symbol of loyalty, love, and hope.

This song is dear to each of us , it is loved and sung not only in Russia, but all over the world.This song reflects the dream of each of us, faith in the good, eternal.The girl Katyusha accompanied a loved one to war, and then went to the front herself to defend her happiness and her land with weapons in her hands.

The war ended and new songs about joy,hope and faith in the future appeared.The song "Victory Day"is a symbol and every year all Russian people together with veterans perform this song on May 9.

In conclusion,I would like to say–we all know what price was won by the victory,who gave their life for freedom and independence .We will always remember the victims and honor their memory.

In a slender birch I see a soldier
Killed in an unequal battle
Once the Brave boys here stood to death in the order of battle

I don’t know what Daria Davidova sings in the first video @helga19 but, her voice is so beautiful, that it touchs the soul. How did covid 19 affect the 75th commemoration of the victory?

Hola @helga19 es impresionante tu post, me gusto muchísimo, en especial los videos que agregaste, el primero donde la soprano Daria Davidova la imagen del viejo veterano caminando hacia el monumento, y luego contraponerse con la imagen de la niña, el futuro esta aquí y es de los jóvenes. Y al final cuando ese veterano cierra los ojos como transportándose a ese 9 de mayo de 1945 con sus pensamientos, me dejo desbastado, me llego a las lagrimas, la voz de la soprano cala en lo mas profundo del alma Helga. La guerra es tragedia y destrucción, muerte y desesperanza, por eso no hay que olvidadla nunca, Recordar a esos héroes que dieron todo por su patria, por su tierra. La voz de Davidova me hipnotiza y envuelve a querer escucharla varias veces.

Te cuento algo, mientras estaba respondiendo este post, se aproxima mi señora, se preocupa porque estaba escuchado una canción tan triste y le muestro el post y le cuento un poco sobre el. En ese momento ella también se puso un poco triste, porque su mamá vino de Italia en el '48 con 16 años de edad, de una Italia desbastada, ellos los padres de Lilian como los míos, por parte de mi papa, mi abuelo, llegaron a Argentina después de la gran guerra.

Da la impresión, y relacionando con lo que vivimos actualmente con una guerra, una guerra con un enemigo, casi invisible, pero enemigo al fin, el cual cuando termine todo esto y encontremos la cura para este nuevo mal, sera como la gran victoria, los festejos y los héroes serán para los científicos que encuentren la solución para este nuevo mal.

Helga, gracias por compartir este gran post, por el fin de todas las guerras, que la muerte no es la solución a nada.

My grandfather died on that war,but memory about him in our heart.

I would like to answer your question.

Despite the current situation ,the holiday was wonderful.All day long,songs of the war years were played,people went to the graves of soldiers to lay flowers.

The Project “Immortal regiment” was organized online,where people told about their fathers,grandfathers,relatives, who died in the war.

We watched films about the exploits of soldiers during the war.In the evening there was a festive salute over Moscow.

I have another question, @helga19 , Do you have a special menu or meal for this anniversary? I know it isn’t like a holiday, but through the food, most cultures have dishes to recognize the effort offered to men and women for the well-being of people.

No,we have not special food for this day.

Because it is a Memory Day.,we honour veterans of war,give them flowers,put the flowers on the graves of soldiers.On the streets and squares there are conserts,performances.People sing songs ,dance,listen to the songs and music of singers and DJ.

We have dinner only in our family.
