I am incredibly happy and want to share my feelings on the use of Google Maps and Local Guides Connect with you.
Many people who I met had never experienced any particular difficulties during their travels. They always found wonderful places relying on people’s feedback. I was always confused by the availability of reviews since they could be written by hotels and restaurants themselves. I really thought so and sometimes it is true as we all know. Google maps differents from all the websites and apps that I used specifically because of the presence of levels for guides. I always rely on reviews and photos of the guides when choosing a restaurant, hotel, even a pet store and clinic. The feeling of incredible care from absolutely strangers won me over! Guides always do their best when writing detailed reviews based on their personal experience and photos from the place as it is. I trust them.
When starting to travel, I faced difficulties that I didn’t even noticed earlier in myself. As it turned out, it is a struggle for me to leave my city. The feeling of anxiety, fear and panic dominates and I can easily leave halfway and go back home. Fighting the fear of leaving home and traveling turned out to be quite difficult, because you don’t rea**lly know what you are afraid of! In my case, as I know now, I was afraid of new people, new places and making a wrong choice. It was difficult to face it, but reading the reviews and making my trip plan relying on them I realized that the guides made an incredible contribution to the development of not only Google Maps, but also helped me not to be afraid of new places as Icould read about them and see what to expect. As a result, I came to a new place without fear and enjoyed every day of my journey.
Now I, as all those guides who helped me making my trip unforgettable, try to do everything possible to describe places, take photos and give advice to those who are looking for help and need it. Answering questions also helps people a lot and for this reason I answer in as much detail as my knowledge allows.
I find our community incredibly valuable and excited to be a part of something so huge, all pervading and useful!
