Great News: You can now save some taps!

I just noticed an improvement in the Android version of Maps.

Before we needed to close the keyboard to reach the blue Submit button after making an edit. But now there is a new row with two buttons just above the keyboard. One is “Cancel” and the other one is “Submit”.

For avid editors on Google Maps this is an important time saver. I have been wondering why we needed to close the keyboard first. Sometimes when I don’t hit the Down arrow (bottom red circle) accurately another app would take over. Quite annoying.

I welcome this very much. I just need to get used to not needing to remove the keyboard.

I also noticed that when we browse over all the businesses located inside a shopping center as an example. And we then open one of the places, make and edit and then swipe back then we end up in the same place in the directory. Previously we just got sent to the top of the directory. This too can save a lot of time. This is great too.

Cheers

Yep @MortenCopenhagen

Nice to see you also paid attention to this little but useful change.

I remember one another time I experienced this change but then it reverted. I hope this time they keep it!
