This is something about earning badges on Connect. Yes, you read it right, the badges can be earned and these can not to be considered as any kind of reward or right to get by being there as LG. 
Now I have earned Great Friend badge on Local Guides Connect. This took me 2 months to arrive ever since I earned 'Good Friendโ badge on โ14*-September-2023โ*. This is my Twelfth badge on LG Connect.
