**Great Coffee in the Sutherland Shire
Being retired has allowed me the time to sample some of best food & drinks in the Shire, however my real passion is a great cup of coffee. I hate luke warm drinks that lack flavour and body. Thankfully in the Sutherland Shire we are spoilt for choice. From Como to Cronulla there are ample cafes where you can get a great cup of coffee at a reasonable price. In Como, Cafe Revolution (72 Wolger St, Como NSW 2226) has great coffee and terrific ambience. Check out their Beatles memoribilia. In Sutherland, Cafe 2232 (43 E Parade, Sutherland NSW 2232) has great coffee and food and if you like, you can have a game of dominos or cards while you down a few coffees. If you’re in the mood for a true coffee experience venture across Sutherland to White Horse Coffee (2/137 Flora St, Sutherland NSW 2232), featuring House Roasted Coffee. Venturing further East, Bourke Street Bakery Kirrawee (3/455 The Boulevarde, Kirrawee NSW 2232) hiding in an industrial area, serves a mighty fine coffee and has a great assortment of pastries. In Gymea, Peppertree Restaurant (28 Gymea Bay Rd, Gymea NSW 2227) has great food and terrific coffee and they’re open for breakfast and lunch 7 days and dinner Thursday to Saturday. Miranda, with the gigantic Westfield Shopping Mall, has many cafes but from my experience the stand out is Jamaica Blue (Westfield, 600 Kingsway, Miranda NSW 2228). Great food options and delicious coffee. Venturing to the beach, Cronulla has many fine restaurants and cafes but the stand out here is Nulla Nulla Cafe (75 Cronulla St, Cronulla NSW 2230). Open from 7am, 7 days a week, this is a great place to have breakfast or a late meal. They’re open till 11pm weekdays and midnight Friday and Saturday night, and the coffees great.
