During our 5 day family trip to Dubai, we could not finish the trip with out a visit to Grand Mosque, Abu dhabi. We started very early in the morning by car as we wanted to visit the mosque, Ferrari world etc. When we reached the mosque, we were surprised at the grandeur, neatness and space. As it was christmas time, the mosque was hazy, covered with fog which gave a nice look. I have also attached the B&W stunning photo of the mosque.
I had read about the mosque and asked my family to wear clothes to cover the legs but we realized that hands were not fully covered, which means that they had to put on Hijab (burqah which covers entire body). There are changing rooms to put them on and they are complementary for the visitors.
Tip: If you want to avoid putting on hijab, please cover your body with full shirt, full pants or full dress to cover your body, hands and legs… Have a scarf to cover your head as well or wear a pullover.
The mosque has multiple water bodies, small water fountains, large mirror pools which reflect the beautiful mosque and also add its own beauty with symmetric reflections…
There is a prayer hall for muslims and a separate entry for them. You will be lead to several high arched doors, beautiful designs on the walls, and the doors.
There was huge emerald rock in the shape of a ball / paperweight (if you imagine that way)

Amazing view of the dome when the sun hits the mosque
We enjoyed the tour of the mosque and spent around 1.5 hrs there… The place makes everyone with a camera a good photographer. I had a field-day clicking various angles and details of the mosque… I was happy with several pictures and I always wanted to get featured on google chrome photos… Hope one day, some of the photos will… Let me know your feedback…
