Gourdakhmeh

In the ancient Zoroastrians, they carried their dead over the mountain to put his body there for the birds to eat. After the birds had eaten his body, they lowered his bones and put him in a place they called Eshtoudan. This was not done for 5 years, and they, like the rest of the people, were corpses.
I share photos from my trip to Yazd.
