In Japan,we believe there’s God in nature. For example, we have many old stories about God of mountain, God of forest, and God of ocean . That’s why we Japanese people pray to nature, like oldest big tree.
We call it Goshin-boku, Goshin means God and boku means tree. Goshin-boku has a strong spiritual power. If someone try to cut down , he gets injured or ill . At worst case, he dies. It seems like Pyramid curse. Therefore we build a house,roads,and office building avoiding Goshin-boku.

In India also we worship " Banyan Tree ".
Tree is as good as God.
Banyan kind of tree gives us Oxygen. Even Unani worship tree. This is common in all faiths. Thank you. @TaizouOkazaki
