Empowered Women Empower Women!
Someone great said this and I feel connected to this quote
13th April 2019 was an overwhelming day for me. On this date, I along with my team organised Google Women Techmakers Islamabad and managed to pull off with 90% Female Attendance!
In the history of tech events in Islamabad (Pakistan), there was no tech-based event in which A LOT of women showed up and that too on a weekend (at 9 in the morning). I was at the venue at 8:30 am and by 9:15 am when the first 3 girls (participants) of our event showed up and I knew at that time that this event will go down in history as one of the best events from GDG Islamabad platform
It all started back in February 2019 when I along with my small team chalked down the basic plan of #WTMIslamabad 2019. All we knew was, we need to keep the audience 70/30 (70% females and 30% males). It took us good 2+ months to figure out the agenda format, sponsors, speakers lineup, swag and above all the food/dessert variety We had absolutely no idea that we will cater to 90% female audience on the day of the event and give the best event experience to everyone
It was an absolute pleasure to organise an event which brings women from all walks of life in a single place so that they feel at home and share their achievements with one another and also get a chance to network. I am honoured to officially represent all these women as a Google WomenTechmaker Ambassador of Pakistan!

I know there are local guides who are engaged with Google communities or might have attended these events. I would love to listen to their stories and experiences from similar events
