Google Stylized Photos

I’ve been wondering about this for a couple years now. In Google Photos, I do use both auto and manual edits, and every once in a while Google Photos auto-stylizes them whether I edited them or not. I love it yet have no idea their process and maybe one of you smart people do. Here are a few to share.

This one is Hall’s Island w/ downtown Minneapolis USA in the background. I’m sure the “purple” is a coincidence, yet it was taken during our hometown Prince’s 3-year remembrance of his passing.

“Nimbus” a new public art fixture at the Central Library in downtown Minneapolis. Google’s stylized part really brings out the lights within it.

One of many birdhouses in a row on Nicollet Island. I originally had this photo in my 2019 Local Connect video part of the application, but left it out to keep the video to 1 minute.

Finally and on the cute side, my sister’s cat Allen over the holidays. We used to call him Allens due to his large size, but he’s aging and lost some weight. Allen it is again.

Auto-stylized photos have work well for me to showcase local businesses, too. Outside of normal edits, any word on how to increase these type of photo opportunities?

I know what you mean @PaulJahn I guess it’s another way of Google showing it involves with your contributions! See below for comparison.

I took this photo in Genova Porto Antico in January this year while on holidays. The subject is named Bigo, a structure with lifts that gives you panoramic views of Genova.
