I started using Google maps as a tool to give my patrons directions to my events which usually do happen in remote regions. Most of these events are based on team building and gateaway themes, and therefore sometimes located in inaccessible locations. With over 100 people planning attendance it becomes a tall order giving directions to all these people. That’s when I discovered Google Maps accidentally, you just share your PIN and send… being such a useful business tool to me, I also use it extensively when visiting new localities such a Kampala City where I was assisting in setting up a startup. As a navigation tool it’s more reliable than human help. It is with this notion in mind that I passionately contribute to the development and improvement of Google Maps as this free service has revolutionized the way I and my peers view the world amongst other things.
