Hi there,
I’ve been encountering a lot of problems uploading my 360 photos on Google maps. They were taken with a Z1, high quality photos of the landscape with barely any people in it and I’ve posted it in parks mainly. Initially, I thought the maps were rejected because I placed my watermark on it. But after uploading the same photos without watermark, I still them rejected and it’s very frustrating to see that happen. One park I’ve uploaded 15+ 360 photos in hopes of connecting it but it got rejected. I’m feeling discouraged to post anymore 360 photos but I really enjoy doing it.
To make you feel at home I suggest you take a look at Your Guide to Connect (it’s a quick introduction to our community) and feel free to introduce yourself here.
I noticed that you have the Trusted badge.
From November 20, 2020, the support for the Street View Trusted Photographers is no longer active in Local Guides Connect.
I have been using the street view mobile application for 360 pictures and now I bought the Ricoh theta V for just 360-degree pictures to help people and make beautiful natural scenes around the area. Before Street view was considering all my taken photos and nowadays mostly it does not upload and shows “unable to import photo/video”. and even it does, later on, shows rejected.
Any idea or suggestion, it’s hard to spend another 1000$ for such a volunteer activity which pays nothing.
As per the rejected photos, please have in mind that the Street View team is aware of this issue and their engineers are working hard to fix it. Feel free to send a feedback from the Street View application.
As per the access - you should now be able to access the new Help Center. Please make sure that you are logged in with your trusted account as the site is restricted to trusted users only.
P.S.: With the above said, I will mark my comment as a solution. This means that if someone else has a similar doubt, the information can be found easier.
Please have in mind that this is a know issue to the Street View team and they are looking into ti. Feel free to send a feedback from the Street View app.
P.S.: To keep the forum organized, I will merge your post to an ongoing thread, where the same subject is being discussed.
I believe this it related to a know issue that the Street View team is trying to resolve as soon as possible. I will merge your post to an ongoing discussion here on Connect, where you will be able to follow the latest updates.
