Google Places & Birds

Hi Friends, This is my first post. My story is about google maps & nature connection. I changed home from Hisar to Jhunjhunu on my job transfer a year ago. I found that new semi desert climate town Jhunjhunu is still unexplored. During my morning walks, whenever I spot important offices/premises I search for it on Google maps. I find most of places are still not on google maps. It gives me a great opportunity to add places. Also, in Jhunjhunu area lot of places need place edit for more accurate location, name etc. Adding photos & videos is real fun. I edited Hindi names of many places like Karniram park, shahid park. Jhunjhunu is full of birds and I am a bird lover. I add videos of birds perched on trees to the places they belong. In collectorate area parks I traced birds…… Lapwing (Tithari) ,House sparrow ,Parakeets (Tota) ,Cranes ,Sparrow Hawk (shikra) ,Purple sunbird (phoolchooiya) Laughing Dove, Eurasian dove ,Pigeon, Yellow breasted chat ,Peacock, Koel, Common Myna (Gursal) and some unidentified passerines. I feel adding videos with wildlife like birds & trees with ‘places’ will connect places with nature. Also google should give option for adding big trees like banyan, Peepal (ficus religiosa) which are popular landmarks in Indian culture. Hope for meet-ups of Jhunjhunu local guides soon.
