There are several photo challenges run on connect by Google moderators. Also there are several photo sharing posts run by Connect moderators like Local Guides Garden etc.
The way it is run now is by posting as comment to original post. Which is just lame and painful to participate. Comments are not organized, they show up some where in the post (after several pages, depending on when the comment is done) (I believe there is already an idea post related to organizing comments)
What I am suggesting is using a Google Photos album to participating in such challenges, when Google Moderator or Connect Moderator creates such challenge, embeds a photo album giving access to all connect users. So folks post their pictures in the album and it is much easier to consume the content by other users, comment and like and discuss about the post.

However, that is neither a tip nor a query & hence, in my opinion, the How-tos section wouldn’t be the right board.
Are you posting that here in How-tos to get some evaluation before making a final suggestion in the idea exchange?
@C_T I am sorry, my intent was to post in idea exchange, Probably did some mistake while doing that. Not sure I have a way to switch this to idea exchange.
@ErmesT I am aware of those two posts, in fact I am suggesting this for Photo challenges and other photo sharing posts in connect. I may have landed in wrong category as commented by @C_T
