I am approaching three and a half million photo view on my google reviews. The number floors me. When I look at which photos take off and which don’t, I am perplexed. I review some very small local places and many of them rack thousands and thousands of views very quickly… where are those views coming from? It can’t just be from people looking for a place to eat.
Yes it certainly is perplexing @Elija . Have a read of this post and you will see that you are not alone on this.
Thank you for responding! Still a mystery. I have noticed that as much as I try and take excellent pictures of food, it tends to be the generic full full room shots that blow up the most. Looking at some of the numbers of you folks, I am floored.
As you can read in your privacy settings “Reviews, photos, ratings, and other content you post on Maps are always public across Google services, like Search, even with a restricted profile. Anyone can see your name, profile picture, and tagline on Google”
It means that the information, including photos, you add in Maps, can be seen also with other Google services, even doing a generic search, if your photo appear relevant to the search. This can increase the amount of visualization of a good photo
I am now up to almost 35,000,000
