Someone please tag some Googlers and ask them to “whip” their photo approving AI developers, I’m sick of this, uploaded dozens of flawless restaurant menus which are not approved; just an example:
Now I’m not a Google developer to care why menu photos like those above get rejected and photos like the ones below get approved for a restaurant! Just get your stuff fixed please.
Violence is no joke @Kia_Faraji by making jokes about it you normalise it and make people think it is acceptable. You talked about whipping the developers, this is not cool at all. So I am sorry that you think this is a joking matter.
We understand your frustration, but we would like to remind you to be mindful of your words and how they may affect others. This means being considerate. I invite you to have a look at The 5 core values of Connect.
If you see abuse on Google Maps, you can flag the profiles of users who post incorrect information.
Respectfully I’m not here to show some frustration and seek gratitude, that’s no good to me nor the system, you people never accept that the system has issues and always try to cover it up, is taking responsibility any part of your own values at all? you really think I already don’t know about reporting photos? I’m addressing a bigger issue, and the rejected menu photos…
Hi @InaS
Since photo uploading on iPhone’s Google Maps always had a problem, I had to get my hand on my Android Emulator on PC, just uploaded 1 Menu photo using Menu tab on, it wasn’t approved, but it’s on my profile now:
If you log in from a PC, you can go to the Your Contributions, then Photos. Once you have found the photo you want to share select the three dots, and click share, a pop up window will appear and you can copy the link.
Yeah it’s getting frustrating, I don’t appreciate digital things getting complicated and asking consumers to learn rocket science to benefit from the product.
And the amount of censorship is too much in this platform.
Also there are people who try to subtly force you to acknowledge that what you mention is not even a problem! and try to normalize “workarounds”!! And some people here take criticisms personal and don’t seem to welcome honesty.
