Topeka-area meet up at the site of a major change for equality and race relations. This Thursday, August 25, we’ll go on a 25-minute ranger-led tour at 11:00am. Afterwards (or before) you can tour the building exhibits on your own. The tour and the building exhibits deal with the building site and history. There is also a 30-minute film you can watch before or after the tour that deals with the broader court case involved and national history of race relations.

This sounds really fun!
So my cat died a few hours ago so I’m not sure if I can make the meet-up I organized. All the same plans can still take place for others though since nothing was planned that doesn’t happen regularly anyway. Happy 100th, NPS.
