Suggest and Edit is not a good option on google maps. Competitors can edit the listing on Google My Business. Anyone including competitors, can make suggestions to edit Google My Business listings possibly leading potential customers in the wrong direction. There’s an increase in spammers updating Google My Business listings with the intent to disrupting existing businesses and sending leads elsewhere.

Hi @Dshubhamjain other people can’t change Google My Business as that is registered to a person. If someone claims a business is theirs, there are certain conditions that occur to prove the business is theirs.
Editing Google Maps can be done although I’m sure Google does check these changes.
@TheEagleEye you’re right but person has to do is click on the listing and find the Suggest and edit option. Clicking this option gives anyone the right to make some dramatic changes to the listing. Some of the things they can change include your company’s name, address, hours, phone, website and category.
There’s a option know this place?? Answer quick questions. Some business have fallen prey to competitors leaving malicious comments or falsifying their answers.

Hi @Dshubhamjain some businesses are claimed, so are managed by their owners with Google My Business. Some businesses aren’t claimed so don’t have the same control.
@Dshubhamjain What usually happens with GMB is that a person has to claim that business and to do that google maps needs to verify that the person actually is the owner and that is done via trusted verifier or postcard method therefore it is not easy for a 3rd person to claim another individuals business. On the contrary a local guide with wrong intention may suggest an edit for information and that is why information is first reviewed before being approved to reduce the chances of wrong information. IF you have information of local guides who do such acts with concrete information then i suggest you report this to a googler or a connect moderator who can look into it.
@Tula I am from India and i do 360 Virtual Tour of hotels, salon, gym, resort and many more… and i also create GMB page for my Clients if they don’t have a page or they don’t know how to create. For 360 virtual tour and GMB i travel different different cities and i have good score on maps and i also got a street view photographer badge and i manage around 80 to 90 GMB Listing from my gmail id and now suddenly all listings are suspended without any updates or any reason and i lost my google street view badge than i call on the Indian support number of GMB and they also don’t know what happened 3 months are gone and still i didn’t get any answer
Well i know difference between claimed business page and non claimed but according to Google, account administrators ought to get an email notification in case of edit an suggestion. However some people receive these emails while google reviews the updates, Instead the emails are sent out when an edit has already gone live
