Greetings from Istanbul,
My name is Ahmed Sayed, I’m a 22 year old, 3rd year Pharm B student in Bangalore, India. I hail from Alexandria, Egypt, but am currently visiting family in Istanbul, Turkey. I’m an avid traveller and have visited 5 countries throughout Europe, Asia, and the middle East, with many more to go. I love to explore and photograph various locations and sights. As a local guide for Google maps, I’ve already contributed more than 5000 photos, receiving nearly 1,200,000 views and am currently at a level 8. I spend many hours daily contributing my photos and location information, as I m very dedicated to this process. If granted, I’d love to photograph while here in Istanbul, the mediaeval Chora Museum, capturing some of its oldest frescoes and mosaics of Byzantine era, that are so ancient, their creators are unknown. The Galata Tower is the perfect spot for gathering panoramic snaps of Istanbul’s historic district, breathtaking to say the least. Also, the Basilica Cistern, that once serviced the Great Palace of Constantinople, will yield fantastic images of its 336 marble columns with glorious backlighting, not to omit the quality its 2 Medusa’s heads.
Upon my return trip to Bangalore India, I would be photographing the amazing Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, showcasing its incredible black and gold arches, then on to Bangalore Fort with photo worthy church, cemetery, and school, but giving special attention to the artwork of Lt. James Hunter of the royal artillery, whose historic pieces embody much of military life of that day. I will also be travelling to India’s gateway Mumbai, to gather this incredible cities finer points as I explore and share my exciting findings in the form of exquisite photos and precise information.
Finally, as a side note, I’m so
interested in this site’s creative
process. I’d love to contribute more to Google maps with ideas I have aimed with the intent to see continual growth and improvement developmentally, possibly thru moderation abilities. This site has contributed greatly to so many, I am so excited to see it continue to impact.
Thank you for this awesome opportunity for me to contribute to viewers world wide, as we share, embrace, and celebrate our collective world.
Sincerely,
Ahmed Sayed

Hi @AhmedAlkhateb Thanks for sharing your experience with us, indeed it is very interesting and your efforts in making an impact in your community is great. Yes you can take pictures of all new places while you are visiting but just always remember to obey all Local Laws in any community you find yourself in so as not to get into trouble. I also try to do that at most times to avoid getting trouble while taking 360 photos or normal still photos. Please when you visit do share us pictures if you eventually visit and let’s see how beautiful the places you visit in Turkey are and the rest. That’s my few tips for you :). Welcome to the community and enjoy your stay here we are always ready to provide necessary information and tips to you!!!
Regards
