Hey Everyone

I just noted some UI changes in Google Maps (on my chrome browser).

I have observed minor, but very subtle changes in the UI. The default maps layout now looks more Google Earth like instead of the flat map. Zoom-ins and Zoom-outs look pretty neat as well.

  • The maps now look more 3D.
  • The color tone looks slightly changed as well.
  • The maps render more quickly (tested on my home broadband and other internet connections)
  • Zoom-ins & Zoom-outs are more snappy
  • Double clicks narrow you down more accurately

Nice! Thanks for the heads up, @OmerAli ! I’m so used to using Maps on desktop for quick searches - I’ll explore a bit more now!

I am not sure when did they roll out the changes but I only managed to see them yesterday .

I will keep exploring and look for other changes made as well
